I entered the Oklahoma Art Guild’s “Small Works” show and my plein air/alla prima piece “Sail On” (5×8″, gouache on illustration board) won an honorable mention. First time I have ever won anything art related.
Like everyone who’s posted on this forum, I attribute my growth to the VAA lessons. Almost done with M workshop…so much yet to learn.
Onwards and sideways we go!
The Royal South Australian Society of Art then asked me to do a demonstration painting of a celebrity and that went pretty well.
