Live Painting Workshop in Tuscany Italy with Barry John Raybould
I will soon announce the dates for my plein air painting workshop for the Spring of 2022 in Italy. I have only five places at my favorite farm stay house, so please book early to guarantee your spot.

How to get there
Getting there: Fly to Pisa airport (PSA). There are a lot of car hire places right at the airport. From the airport you just hop onto the freeway/motorway for a one hour drive to Aulla, Lunigiana. Then from Aulla only about 15 minutes to the workshop lodgings.
Nice places you can visit before or after the workshop: Cinque Terre (30 minutes), Parma (70 minutes), Lucca (60 minutes), Florence (90 minutes), Siena (120 minutes).
The location
The workshop will be held in Licciana Nardi, near Aulla, in northern Tuscany, just one hour drive north of Pisa.
Each day we will go out painting doing lots of studies and plein air painting, and at the end of the day meet to discuss the day’s work and do individual critiques. The goal will be to identify where you need the most help, and if necessary select assignments from the VAA curriculum that will help take your work to the next level.
At the end of the workshop I will give each of you an individual plan for what you need to work on for the following six months.

Easel rental
If you do not want to save weight on the airline and not bring an easel, a limited number of easels are available for rent for $50 (€50) for the workshop. Please let us know if you would like me to reserve one for you.
Preparation
I recommend you join the Virtual Art Academy before the workshop and work on the lessons in Workshop A and B of the Apprentice Program in the months before the workshop. In this way, you will get even more out of the workshop. In addition, I will give Virtual Art Academy members a personalized 12 month learning plan based on my Virtual Art Academy® Apprentice Program curriculum, that will give you assignments for you to work on after the workshop. How Do I Register?
To register for the workshop, please pay 50% of the workshop fee. Receipt of your payment confirms your place on the workshop.
Please contact me for wire transfer details. If you would like to pay by PayPal, you would need to add 6.4% to the amount owed in order to cover Paypal transaction and international currency fees, which are deducted before the payment arrives.
Cancellation Policy
Deposit is refundable, less bank processing charges, earlier than 120 days before the start of the workshop.
80% of deposit is refundable, less bank processing charges, between 90 days and 120 days before the start of the workshop.
Full payment is due 90 days before the start of the workshop and is non-refundable.
