I have spent many hours in the National Gallery of Art, it has a wonderful collection of American paintings from all periods. I especially enjoy the American Impressionists such as William Merritt Chase, Childe Hassam, and a recent discovery John Henry Twachtman. It has a lot of work by my favourite American artists John Singer Sargent, and Thomas Moran.
