Course 10 of 10 of category  Workshop Week 1

A very important part of how you make your painting interesting, is how you divide up the light, dark and gray areas in your painting. This is what creates an interesting notan structure. One of the most important principles you need to understand is the idea of a dominant value.

This concludes the series of ten lectures that I usually give in my one week workshops. With the skills in these lectures, you will already see a significant improvement in your work. Do not forget however that you will need to practice each of these skills over and over again. I would suggest that each week for the next ten weeks you concentrate on just one of these lectures and practice the assignment.

Length of video: 15 minutes
