I get a blank screen when I click on the Newsletter link

Click on this Adobe Reader Test PDF File link and then hit the Back button in your browser to return here (the Back button in your browser looks like an arrow pointing to the left). If you do not get a blank screen, then contact us, since there must be some other problem. If you do get a blank screen it is for one of the following reasons:

  • When you click on the link it opens the Adobe Reader application, but the file opens in your web browser. Switch to your web browser and see if it is there.
  • Your settings for Adobe Reader are not correct. To correct the settings:
    1. Open Adobe Reader or Acrobat
    2. Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or [application] > Preferences (Mac OS).
    3. Select Internet.
    4. Deselect Display PDF In Browser, and then click OK.
    5. Quit and then start Adobe Reader.
    6. Choose Edit > Preferences > Internet, select Display PDF In Browser, and then click OK.
    7. Now let us see if this has solved the problem by clicking on this Test for Reader link. If you still get a blank screen, then you probably do not have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed. Go to the next step.
  • You do not have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer, Read how to download and install the latest version of Adobe Reader.
  • You did not enter the document open password correctly. Click your browser's back button, click on the course unit again and enter the correct password.
