Beginner Unit 2-3 Two-Value Statement $15.00
   Back
Course 6 of 25 of category  Beginner Art Instruction

This course introduces you to the basics of shape and form. This will help improve your drawing skills and help you make your paintings look more three-dimensional. This course is a subset of the more advanced courses in the Form and Shape categories. The topics chosen in this course are a starting point. There is a lot more to learn, but these are the most important things to start with.

In this course you will learn:

  • the critical step of making a 'two-value statement' to describe a form
  • the three types of lighting situations and when to use them to better describe the forms you are painting
  • the single most important skill you need to acquire to make your drawing more accurate
  • the 'glass drawing' technique to help overcome roadblocks to accurate drawing
